Mr. Claudius Olugbenga Odusanya (HND, PGD, MBA, CIMGT, ACEA)

Mr. Claudius Olugbenga Odusanya attended the prestigious Yaba College of Technology, Yaba Lagos State, where he bagged a Higher National Diploma in Accountancy between 1983 and 1989. He proceeded to the famous Greenwich School of Management, London, where he earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Studies from 1998 to 2000. His pursuit of academic excellence continued as he obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration from the University of Hull, England, between 2000 and 2002. He is also recognised by the Institute of Cost and Executive Accountants (ACEA) London and the Chartered Institute of Management (CIMGT) London.

Being a versatile and highly social individual, he is actively involved in numerous social and religious activities. He holds memberships in prestigious organisations such as the Island Club of Nigeria, Ikoyi Club, Rotary Club of Ikoyi Metropolitan, the Great IBB Golf and Country Club Abuja, and the London Gentlemen Club in Salisbury, England, among others. During his leisure time, he enjoys sporting activities including golf, table tennis, and swimming. He also participated in the British Trade Mission to Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, India, and China between 2000 and 2010. In 2003, he attended a trade mission in Bahia State, Brazil, on invitation by the Senate of New York State in Albany.

Mr. Odusanya has contributed immensely to national development through several high-level committees. He participated in the committee responsible for changing the name of the Institute of Petroleum to the Energy Institute (EI). He was a member of the committee that planned Abuja @ 30 in 2007, Chairman of a Sub-Committee for Nigeria @ 50 in 2010, and Chairman of the Sponsorship/Fund-Raising Committee for the IBB Golf & Country Club from 2011 to 2013. In addition, he served as a member of the National Working Committee of the Abuja National Carnival Management Committee and Chairman of the Fund-Raising Committee for the Abuja National Carnival. He also served as a member of the Presidential Infrastructure Master Plan Committee that designed and produced Nigeria’s current national infrastructure masterplan.

His outstanding contributions have been recognised internationally. He is an Honorary Citizen and a recipient of the Key to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, USA (2013), and an Honorary Citizen of the City of Great Height, Maryland, USA (2013).

His leadership roles span multiple organisations within and outside the COOD Resources Group. He has served as Director of COODSYNERGYN Oil, Gas & Power UK Limited, Director of COOD Incentives Inc., Dallas, Texas, USA, and previously held positions such as Credit Manager at EKO Le Meridien Hotel (1992–1996) and Trainee Accountant at Texaco Nigeria PLC (1988–1991).

Fondly called Otunba Olugbenga Odusanya, he is happily married and blessed with four children.
